Using VuENSDF as a helper application for a WWW browser

If you want to run VuENSDF as a viewer-application with data from the WWW, yo u must configure your browser to recognize VuENSDF as the viewer-application for the file extensions .enx (ENSDF/2) and .ens (ENSDF). Note: Version 1.0 and higher of VuENSDF has built-in networking.

For MOSAIC 2.0 or higher, do the following (the procedure for Netscape is very s imilar):

1. Select menu Options/Preferences
2. Click on Viewers button
3. Click on Add button
4. Enter application/ensdf for Mime type
5. Enter .enx,.ens for file extensions
6. Enter c:\vuensdf\vuensdf.exe for application
7. Click on Add button again
8. Click on OK button
9. Exit and reenter MOSAIC
